Ingredients (serves 4 to 6)

1 whole chicken cut into pieces, or 4 to 6 chicken thighs

½ cup ketchup

2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce

2 tablespoons white vinegar or apple cider vinegar

2 tablespoons brown sugar

2 tablespoons vegetable oil

1 teaspoon mustard powder

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon sweet paprika

Preparation

In a bowl, mix all the marinade ingredients until smooth.

Coat the chicken pieces with the marinade. Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight.

Preheat the oven to 180 °C (350 °F) or prepare the barbecue over medium heat.

Cook the chicken in the oven (45–60 minutes) or on the grill (30–40 minutes), basting regularly with the remaining marinade.
