Revisited Emmy Burger Recipe

For 2 burgers

Ingredients:

  • 2 brioche burger buns, lightly toasted

  • 2 ground beef patties (150 to 180 g each)

  • 4 slices of sharp cheddar cheese

  • 4 slices of crispy bacon

  • 1 red onion, thinly sliced and lightly marinated

  • 2 tablespoons of homemade Emmy sauce (see recipe in the “Basics” section)

  • A few leaves of crunchy lettuce

  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper

  • Vegetable oil or butter for cooking

Preparation:
Cook the patties
Season the beef patties with salt and pepper. Sear over high heat or ideally on a flame grill for 3 to 4 minutes per side (depending on desired doneness).
At the end of cooking, place two slices of cheddar on each patty and let them melt slightly under a broiler or with a lid.

Prepare the bacon
Grill the bacon slices in a hot dry pan until they become nice and crispy.

Assemble the burgers
Spread the base of each bun with Emmy sauce. Add one or two lettuce leaves.
Place the cheesy beef patties on top, then add the crispy bacon slices. Add a few rings of marinated red onion.
Spread a bit more Emmy sauce inside the top bun.

Finish and serve
Close each burger with the top bun. Gently press to hold everything together.
Serve immediately with fries or a fresh salad.
